LX 8080

Color navigation and vario system

The LX8080 is a high end vario navigation system with extremely bright color display. Fits to standard fi80mm hole. Simple and logical user interface is designed for top-level competitors, club operation as well as for gliding beginners. Instrument is preloaded with worldwide terrain maps, airspace and airports databases. User friendly data exchange is done using SD Card or USB interface. LX8080 has already integrated FLARM collision avoidance system and flight recorder according to IGC specification for all flights. LX8080 copes with complex tasks with assigned area. During flight optimization according to FAI and OLC rules are shown. Exactly the same software as running on LX8000 and LX9000.

Display unit features

• Low power, extremely bright color display (1200cd), readable in all sunlight conditions with backlight automatically adapted using photo-sensor
• Using Linux operating system (not CE Windows) ensures fast and stable operation of firmware
• 6 push buttons and 4 rotary switches are used for input which compromise well known LX user interface. Remote stick is available optionally for more comfort
